I'm sure by the heading I have listed you know what I'm gonna talk about in this post. Zodiac signs and all their grand characteristics. According to YourDictionary.com, zodiacs are astrological signs named for constellations that appear in the sky throughout the average year (Your Dictionary, 2020). With a deeper dive into these zodiacs, you'll find that each carries a number of members that fall under the constellation. Depending on what month you were born, you could either be classified as a Gemini, Taurus, Aries, Cancer, etc. Each sign comes with their own characteristics on how a person acts, how they interact with the world, and how their interact with other signs. I recently thought about how this could apply in the real world when it comes to me and other people. I'm curious as to if this thing is even real. The more I read into it, especially on my own sign I start to realize that what they talk about is somewhat true. For anyone who was wondering, I'm classified a Scorpio. Scorpio's are known for being go-getters, self confident, ambitious, and cool headed. I agree with all those traits except for the cool-headed one. I was a big hot head at one point. After college I learned to cipher that extra energy into things more constructive and positive, but I still had my moments at one point. I would like to say that zodiacs are true when it comes to who we're compatible with, but I have yet to explore or even try out those theories.
I'm not the best person when it comes to networking on a social level. I don't like to talk to people that I feel are stupid or who do stupid things. I'm very judgmental too, even though I know I shouldn't be; but I'm starting to accept the fact that I'm a lone wolf and I'll just have to make the most of it for now. Referring back to the Zodiac system, Scorpio's are said to be most compatible with Capricorns, Pisces, Cancers, and Virgo's (Your Dictionary, 2020). Maybe one day I'll find that special someone who can tolerate my judgmental demeanor. Hopefully they're a lone wolf like me, that way we won't get into as much fights as most couples would. I like the idea of having a significant other who doesn't care for what I do in my life and who's her own boss woman making boss moves in silence. It would be something like Mr. & Mrs. Smith but that's enough of my sensual fantasies, back to the blog!!
Zodiacs aren't the first theorized labeling system to be introduced amongst western culture. For all the nerds out there like me, I'm sure you know about the Myers-Briggs system. Myers-Briggs focuses on what type of person you are based on 5 characteristic levels. The system doesn't categorize you according to what month of the year you're born on. Those 5 class levels that I mentioned a few words ago include; Introvert vs Extrovert, Intuitive vs Observant, Thinking vs Feeling, Judging vs Prospecting, and Turbulent vs Assertive. With whatever mix you are on those levels, it defines who you are as a person. Compared to the classifications of zodiac, I 100% agree with the Myers-Briggs system. It doesn't restrict what type of personality you could be and if anything proves people right that they are a certain code mix. They educate you on how you interact with the world, how you interact with other people, how you think, how you put your ideas into action, and how to cooperate with others.
Personally, I feel that the Myers-Briggs system is more mature than the cosmos zodiacs. Because of its validity, I'd rather not tell you all what I am but it's only right. So after taking the test and purchasing the guide (Yes you have to pay, this is no kid stuff), I discovered that my code mix was an INTJ-T/A, code named "The Architect". Again, this is 10x better than the Zodiac system for the simple fact that it combines biotechnology with real world events. However, there's some truth to what the zodiacs say about people and their demeanor's. What you choose to believe in is up to you I guess; those are the perks of being free spirit in a semi-free world. For now, I'll try to leverage my skills on the thought of being an "Architect" because it just sounds and looks cooler.
